 Personal Info

Frank J. Kenny and Family

(I hate writing about myself. Let’s do this in 3rd person)

Frank has been the president/CEO of one organization or another since his first job out of college.

With a degree in finance he started out selling mutual funds, annuities, and others types of insurance and financial products in Michigan. He was made President/CEO of his own office at 24. From there he moved to the Puget Sound area of Washington State to start a tourism based retail business with his brother. He was President/CEO of that company for 12 years.

After obtaining his MBA, he then went on to be the President/CEO of the North Mason County Chamber of Commerce. He has been the CEO of other chambers on an interim, consulting basis, helping to recruit new leadership.

He and his team were among the first business association executives to embrace social media, leading to a doubling of membership in less than 18 months. His techniques and strategies garnered national attention and he began to speak to business groups and entrepreneurs throughout North America.

Frank resigned from his chamber to devote himself full time to helping people thrive through social media through his speaking, writing, and consulting.

For fun

As a happily introverted news, tech, and information junkie I love to read. I also love to write.

We, Norma and me, have an RV and enjoy traveling.

I spent 7 months in the RV recently when doing the research for my first book, The 7 Secret Laws of Society, Social Media Essentials for Small Business and Associations.

Testimonials for Frank J. Kenny

  • “I was so impressed by your presentation. The positive re-enforcement and the stories made your presentation so much more personal. I have downloaded your book and have already started talking with my staff and business partner about the information you provided yesterday. Up until your presentation I had seen some success but limited with social media campaigns but they left me questioning the efforts with no real hard ROI. I am not about bashing however I was very skeptical about what I might come away with from this investment of time I was about to make watching your presentation and I must say I was impressed. There are very few who can present the numbers and the program as you did and it reminds me of the early SEO sales pitches, and that was more about the header than organic components of a web page. Now this has struck a note with me and I am digging into what it can mean to my customers, friends and neighbors. I have been converted. Thank you for sharing with us your travels into the cyber world and the bounty and secrets you collected there.” - Mike Harden, Owner, Battle Ground Printing
