Chambers with Successful Mentoring Programs

Examples of successful mentor programs

Chambers connect people in the communities they serve. As well-positioned organizations, they offer all sorts of connection activities outside of their traditional mixers. Some host lunch and learns while others specialize in matchmaking services for businesses. Here are a few examples of chambers with successful mentoring programs.

Successful Chamber Mentoring Programs

These chambers offer very different business mentoring assistance. The examples here will give you an idea of all the possibilities behind chamber mentoring programs.

BZWise, South Shore Chamber of Commerce

This business enhancement program helps to “identify your company’s strengths and weaknesses with the knowledge and experience of your own personal team of experts.” Through it, they design a 3,6, or 12-month program to map out the road to success allowing each company to achieve its business objectives with an actionable strategic growth plan.

Business Advisor’s Council, Champaign County Chamber of Commerce

This group has over 15 seasoned advisors available to assist organizations in starting their businesses and pursuing avenues of growth. Secondarily, the group looks to grow the local economy and add jobs for the region. Interested businesses fill out a form. They’re then matched to a business advisor that specializes in their area of need.

Next Generation Mentoring Program, Cobb Chamber of Commerce

This chamber mentoring program was established by the chamber’s young professionals group. The program focusses on building connections between the young professionals and established members of the chamber community. According to their website, “The program consists of face-to-face meetings and events throughout the program year, including discussions to set and track goals. Mentors will provide young professional participants with expertise and insight needed to grow successfully in their career, while helping develop and achieve personal goals.” It’s a formal program, not a mingle and the five events over the course of October-June are mandatory.
