In this edition, #47, of the Chamber Focus Show we had a relaxed round table discussion on the various activities the participants were working on at their chambers.
New Chamber Website
We chatted with Mark Sturdevant of the La Habra Chamber on how their new chamber website was coming along.
We discussed the platform it was being built on, who was building it, the cost, features and benefits, whether it was mobile optimized and used responsive design, etc.
If you love tech or are thinking of upgrading your chamber’s website and mobile platforms, this discussion is for you.
Google Maps for Chambers
Stephen Wurzburg of the Keizer Chamber shared an inside scoop on Google Maps for Chambers. He also brought some high level technical thinking to the website and mobile discussion.
We also learned how one of the participating chambers was launching a new Candidate School. Kristina Wiltgen shared who the instructors were, what was being taught to these potential candidates, and what the chamber’s role would be.
We talked about the Nashoba Valley Chamber‘s Community Ambassador program, The La Habra Goodwill Ambassadors, and other clever and news ways chambers are leveraging their unique position in the community.
Finally, we had a member of the La Habra Chamber pop into the discussion. Good laughs all around from that. Hi Dave!
