Chamber Pros Insider Tip #191
How’s your day going?
Today’s my birthday so you can bet Norma (and Trixie) will make it a great one. She already put together this fun photo collage of our journey this past year. And, she has informed me that today (and tonight) we will be celebrating in New Orleans! (I think this is one of those, what Norma calls, a “pinch me moment” – I am overwhelmed with a blessed feeling.)
On to today’s Chamber tip
Quick graphic tip from Norma:
Here is an example of how you can take an image and customize it for your social media marketing (reminder: don’t just ‘grab’ any image off the internet. Make sure you have the right to use it.)
Here is the image we used yesterday in its original form (downloaded through Pixabay – great resource, and be sure to buy them a cup-a-coffee 😉 )
Norma uploaded the original image into Canva.com so that she could add a message onto the image. (Quick Trick: if you use the Instagram template, it will work across the social platforms easier.)
HINT: Once you choose which template you are going to use in Canva, then a quick option is to choose a layout within the template:
– This is a great ‘short-cut’ to quickly auto-size your photo and use their already established font.
Here is the result:
But wait, there’s more….
For another Quick Tip idea:
You can upload your image into Instagram to post:
Notice the Filters across the bottom of your screen. Don’t be afraid to try them out before you post – you might decide you like them better than what you had originally came up with:
Once you have decided on one you like and have posted your image to Instagram (and you want to post the same filtered image across the social platforms – NOTE: it is alright to do the ‘autopost’ to other platforms from time to time, but not recommended for every time.); Screen Grab your image and save to your phone in your photo gallery:
Once you have your image in your gallery, you can share direct from your gallery to each social platform — don’t forget to put text with your image post 🙂
Today’s Insider Tip: You can customize images for your social media use pretty easy today with the right tools and a little practice. People will think you are an image wizard. Like anything though, practice makes perfect. Use tools like Pixabay, Canva, and Instagram to work your magic and reap the benefits that great images bring to your social media posts.
