Chamber Pros Insider Tip #10
Tag Photos of Your Members on Twitter
Twitter just announced that you can now tag people in photos, just like on Facebook, from your phone.
This is a big deal for chambers.
Here is what to do…
Say you are at a ribbon cutting, snap a group photo and tag up to 10 of the people there.
Twitter helps you find the right person by showing you a little photo. The tagging doesn’t subtract from the 140 characters either.
This works on both the iPhone and Android phones (not on desktops).
This follows my Give Gifts. Be Generous. strategy perfectly.
Make it about the members. Take tons of photos.
People who come to ribbon cuttings, after hours events, golf tourneys, breakfasts, what have you, are there to see and be seen.
When the chambers shares their photo to Twitter, it is kind of like an endorsement.
The vast majority of members love to see photos of themselves (as long as they aren’t drinking or have food in their mouths).
You will get new followers if you share their photo and tag them so they know it.
When you tag them they get a notification. Plus, people can click the tag.
You can post 10 times a day (separated by an hour) to Twitter, no problem. You can’t do that on Facebook.Bonus tip, drive around town taking photos of member businesses so you always have a bunch of great photos in your phone’s memory to share.
Build up your image library and never worry about what to Tweet.
