Have you considered a chamber membership drive or membership campaign?

Are you interested in discovering the upsides and downsides to chamber membership drives and campaigns?

Chamber Membership Drive Informational Video

Through this discussion and interview you will:

  • Discover the pros and cons of memberships drives
  • Hear the latest data on membership drives and retention
  • Uncover insights on what is working and what is no longer working in membership drives.

The discussion includes:

  • What are the benefits of a Membership Campaign?
  • Why bring in an outside company instead of doing a staff-led Membership Drive?
  • Are Chambers clearly communicating their value, or are we still stuck in features mode?
  • What about your commissioned sales people?
  • How much money and how many members could we recruit?
  • Exactly how does a membership drive work?
  • What role does social media play?
  • What about retention?

About Jay Handler:

Jay Handler has been a Sales/Marketing guy his entire adult life. With more than 20 years experience “selling the invisible” in radio and television ad sales, and several years managing, coaching and training sales teams since, he started to find himself in demand speaking to audiences around the Southeast. Jay has worked with businesses, Chambers and Associations of all sizes…from Comcast Business Class in Atlanta, Charleston, Augusta and Savannah to the Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and dozens of Chambers from Ohio to Georgia and back! His proudest accomplishment was being asked to join the faculty of the Institute for Organization Management by friend and mentor, Danny Hearn. He taught this past summer at Midwest Institute in Madison, Wisconsin and looks forward to teaching at multiple sites this coming year.

About Membership180:

Membership180 is a membership development company with a program that is not just about numbers, but about turning your organization in a new direction! We work with Chambers of Commerce and Associations across the country to not only bring new members to the table, but to create a culture for increased member engagement and overall retention. It’s our triple bottom line: Recruit, Engage and Retain!!

As the old saying goes, “If you’ve seen one Chamber of Commerce, you’ve seen ONE Chamber of Commerce!” We realize that every Chamber and Association is a reflection of it’s community and it’s membership. That’s why we customize every program specifically for each organization we work with. Some need full-blown membership campaigns, while others need more of a consultative approach. We offer consulting packages starting as small as a half day.

We hope you enjoyed this membership drive episode of the Chamber Focus Show.

Disclosure: Neither Membership180 or Jay Handler paid to be on the Chamber Focus Show. The interview is purely information, empowering chamber professionals with insights and relationships.
